is gettng millions to help with emergency relief. today - senators jeff merkley and ron wyden announced the oregon will get 37 million dollars newswatch 12's emma balkenbush tells us how that money will be split up among wildfire and winter storm damage. emma says, "senator wyden tells me oregon is finally getting the resources it needs to repair fire damage from last year's devastating fire season." the sum of money is meant to repair oregon's highways. wildfires took a toll on them last year. of that 37 million, 11 point 3 is for wildfire damage. 10 point 5 million will be for last winter's storm damage. and more than 11 million will go toward storm and flooding damage across the state dating back to 2011. that leaves 4 point 3 million for rockslide damage and 2015 wildfires in eastern oregon. senators merkley and wyden say the money will reimburse the state for work it's already done.. like repairing pavement damage and removing tree hazards. merkley says he's been putting pressure on the administration since last year, making sure oregon isn't forgotten. the oregon department of transportation says it's hoping to get money to pay for the damage it took care of on highway 138 near diamond lake. you might remember, that's where the umpqua north complex of fires was. odot says parts of this highway were shut down for nearly a month. the bureau of land management says the areas that haven't been fully repaired yet should be fixed by this summer. in medford, emma balkenbush, newswatch 12. today--police
