Anne Campolongo joined the Newswatch 12 team as morning meteorologist in June 2016.
Her home is nearly 2,400 miles away in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to moving to Southern Oregon, Anne interned with the weather department at two Cincinnati stations, WLWT and WKRC. In addition to that, she spent a summer interning in Rochester, Minnesota at KTTC.
Anne graduated with a dual degree from Ohio University (Go Bobcats!) in both Meteorology and Journalism. While in school, Anne worked at the student run PBS station, WOUB Public Media.
Her love for communication and weather started at an early age and quickly turned into a passion for presenting the weather. While she hasn’t had any “life changing” weather events happen to her personally, she is positive the microclimates, along with the geography of the Pacific Northwest will bring her unique weather experiences.
This Midwest native is excited to explore the West Coast. When Anne isn’t forecasting, she enjoys running outdoors, writing snail mail, and checking out the local latte shops around town.
