MEDFORD, Ore. -- New Year’s Eve night is notorious for drunk driving and DUII arrests but local law enforcement told us that it was a surprisingly slow night.

Medford Police Department, Central Point Police Department, and Jackson County Sheriff's Office all reported zero DUII arrests. Ashland Police Department reported 5.

This was the first New Year’s Eve with taxi companies competing against ride-sharing companies, each having a very busy night.
