Firefighters Celebrate Birthday of Boy They Helped Deliver

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is helping a local boy celebrate his first birthday.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is helping a local boy celebrate his first birthday. 

A year a ago Lt. Nelson,  Engr. Cunningham, and SFF Albright responded to a home for an emergency call of a woman in labor. The crews arrived on scene in time to successfully deliver Azrael. 

Azrael was honored today on his first birthday with a reunion of the firemen that assisted with the delivery. His parents and siblings were at the celebration with cake and ice cream. The department said on Facebook, "We are very excited to have had the opportunity to assist this family in a time of need."
