Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation Awards ACCESS $15,000 Grant

The Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation is awarding ACCESS with a $15,000 Grant. That translates into over 4 million pounds of food for hungry people in Jackson county.

MEDFORD, Ore.-- The Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation has awarded ACCESS with a hefty donation.
The foundation gave a one-year $15,000 grant to ACCESS.
That will help provide more than 4 million pounds of food to people in Jackson County.

ACCESS says four million pounds of food can create 38,000 food boxes to be distributed to low-income families in Jackson County.

According to recent data, the poverty rate in Jackson County is nearly 18%.
