UPDATE: According to Oregon State Police (OSP) officers at the scene of the crash, it's very nearly a miracle that a driver walked away completely unharmed.

Based on statements from the driver and witnesses, the driver was traveling southbound on I-5 at milepost 15 near Ashland when an unknown semi-truck suddenly cut the driver off, causing him to swerve.

Careening off the left shoulder of the southbound fast lane, the driver's car rolled over multiple times—crossing the median and coming to rest completely on the northbound side of the freeway.

Despite being in a car that was utterly battered and broken by the crash, the driver was totally unharmed, according to OSP. He was not transported to the hospital.

The semi-truck driver who is believed to have been at least partially responsible for the crash has not yet been identified.

ASHLAND, Ore. — The northbound fast lane of I-5 is currently closed near milepost 15 by Ashland, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).

Emergency crews have blocked that lane in order to tend to a rollover crash which sent a vehicle into the median. Delays and congestion are expected northbound.
