MEDFORD, Ore. -- Two men are in jail after a lengthy investigation.
The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team seized drugs, cash and stolen firearms from two addresses. One was in the 2700 block of Connell Avenue in Medford; the other was in the 100 block of Amy Street in Central Point.
MADGE decetives issued the two search warrants on December 21, which were both within one thousand feet of elementary schools.
The warrants lead to the arrests of Tommy Loftis and Verne Thayer. Medford Police say Loftis is well known to law enforcement.
The seizure was the result of a three month long investigation. Detectives found more than 35 grams of meth, $8,000, and a stolen handgun.
