Comets Eye Bounce Back vs. Oregon City

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – After coming up just short in an upset bid against Tualatin, the Crater Comets will look to regroup this Friday when Oregon City comes to town. It was the Pioneers who ended the Comets season last year, winning 45-22 in the first round of the 6A playoffs. It’s just the second game of the season, but with league play beginning next week, Crater needs a victory to build a little momentum.

“It’s pretty well needed right now,” said Crater linebacker Derrick Turituri. “0-1 right now but I think if we win this game we’d get a nice start to the season.”

The Comets play their first Southwestern Conference game at home next week against Roseburg.
