Storms are coming in from the Gulf of Alaska, not from Hawaii. This first storm is the “primer”, and a small brush by storm will bring some light precipitation. But, much larger storms are slated for late Saturday and Sunday (10-15″ above 4,000 to 5,500), followed by another big one late Tuesday and Wednesday (12-18 inches above 4,000 to 5,500.
All of these storms will deliver snow down to 2,000 feet and possibly briefly lower. Looks like valley rains and mountain snows. Great for snow lovers, Mt. Ashland, Snowmobilers, cross country skiers and those who like to snow shoe.
