The same high pressure air mass remains over our region as the past several days. It will continue to bring us low clouds and fog at night and cooler temperatures in the Valleys. Temperatures this evening will be cooler in most areas than last night. The upper 20’s are expected in the Rogue Valley and the mid teens are expected in the Klamath Falls area. Temperatures along the Coast will drop to the upper 30’s. Patchy fog will form after midnight further inland, and freezing fog will develop in the Valleys.
Fog and low clouds will linger into the morning and midday as well, but by afternoon the sun will eventually make an appearance. The higher elevations will see another sunny and beautiful day, also rather mild day as well. Poor air quality is still a concern mainly in the Rogue Valley and east of the Cascades. Conditions are good in Klamath Falls, moderate in Medford, and sensitive in Lakeview.
Monday will be similar to Sunday as high pressure continues to sit over the region. It will gradually shift east and a front will move in on Tuesday. Temperatures will warm up a bit in some locations ahead of the cold front, due to a warm front to our north and southerly flow. Not a huge change in temperatures is expected once the cold front passes through though. A brief break is expected over the region Wednesday before the next system moves ashore Thursday and Friday. This storm will bring cold temperatures to the higher elevations.
