Overnight tonight fog will return to the region with areas of freezing fog creating slick roads at times for west and east side valleys. Temperatures will be cold again with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with mid to low 30 on the west side, teens and mid to low 20s on the east side and low to mid 40s at the coast. Fog and low clouds will lead to another chilly morning with temperatures slowly rising until the clouds clear and the sunshine is able to ramp up the heating.
Sunday night into Monday will be more of the same with fog in the forecast through the extended forecast. A storm system will bring rain to the coast overnight Monday and mainly Tuesday at the coast with lighter rain totals inland and only a slight chance for isolated showers on the east side. Winds will pick up as this cold front moves through and will be the main impact for areas to the east. Midweek a ridge begins to build which will return afternoon sunshine to the areas after morning fog and dry conditions through the end of workweek and likely into the weekend.
