Today will be the warmest day of the week with temperatures well above normal, a trend that ends today! Tomorrow a cold front moves through dropping afternoon temperatures below seasonable and bringing rain to the coast. We may see a few light showers east of the Cascades tomorrow but the best chance for rain moves in with a second cold front on Sunday.
As the second front moves through Sunday temperatures will plummet again and rain will move in in the late afternoon and evening hours with the most rain falling on Monday and a few showers lingering Tuesday morning. West of the Cascades will recieve the most amount of rain with the greatest amount falling at the coast after the entire event is over; to see forecasted rain totals you can watch the video on the right side of the homepage. Showers will die out on Tuesday returning to a sunny forecast by midweek.
With the cooler temperatures right around the corner get out to any of our Coats For Kids barrels in Jackson, Josephine and Klamath counties and donate a new or gently used coat to keep an area child warm this fall and winter. A full list of locations can be found under newslinks.
