Cold Mornings but Warm Afternoons

High pressure is building into the West today. This will bring very inactive weather to the Northwest this week, with the storm track remaining well to our north. Plenty of sun will keep high temperatures between 7 & 15 degrees above average.

Because winds are offshore today, the Chetco Effect will be enhanced slightly and winds will still breezy inland. A wind advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for Medford & surrounding areas through 5am Wednesday. Gusts could reach 40 mph over Jackson County and in Grants Pass as well (although this advisory is not in in effect for Josephine County).

This inactive weather pattern will keep the weather dry through at least Monday of next week. For the weekend, afternoons highs will be in the 70’s over Northern California and across West Side Valleys.
