There are a good amount of clouds across the region to start the evening off. A weak disturbance is sweeping through the area this evening bringing clouds into the Coast and Rogue Valley. There is not much moisture with this system, however it will bring a chance for drizzle along the Coast and a slight chance for a weak shower to develop. This is also a possibility in the Valley, but more likely to occur further West. The Basin and Siskiyou County stay dry this evening with some freezing fog developing after midnight in the Shasta Valley.
Low lying clouds and fog will continue into the morning before burning off as the sun rises. By midday, most of the region should see abundant sunshine. This air mass will remain over the West into next week. Another weak disturbance will ride along the upper high pressure ridge and push southward Tuesday late afternoon. It looks as though it stays mainly to our North but we can’t rule out the possibility of drizzle falling across Northern portions of the viewing area along the Coast and possibly even in the Valleys. Mainly this system just brings clouds to the region.
The remainder of the week shapes up nicely with plenty of sun across all microclimates. Poor air quality conditions will return by midweek however, and continue into the weekend. The next chance for some significant wet weather doesn’t look to be any time in the near future.
