CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — The virtual Charter school Oregon Connections Academy held a meet-and-greet on Friday for its students and family members. There were 25 to 30 students that met at the Central Point Grange, grades K through Eight, who learned about aviation through making paper airplanes.
They also had the opportunity to meet their teachers and meet classmates that they’ve been talking to online through the program. Parents were welcome as well to interact with staff and receive feedback.
K8 Principal Candy Farthing said, “Meeting their teachers and making those face to face connections that they don’t always have because a lot of those connections are virtual, so this is just a chance to have a day together.”
This is the third field trip in the Medford-Grants Pass area for Oregon Connections Academy. Oregon Connections Academy plan to have more field trips like this one in the future.
