The “Citizens Initiative Review” has been helping Oregonians decide statewide ballot measures for the last four years, but this is the first time the group is being applied to a local measure. The group, which contains 20 randomly selected members, will hear from people on both sides of the GMO debate. It will then inform voters on its findings.
The review started yesterday and will continue until tomorrow. All sessions are open to the public. They run from 8:30 to 5:30 at the Inn at the Commons in Medford.
