MEDFORD, Ore. — The U Cut Christmas Tree Farm in Medford stayed steady on Saturday and Sunday after opening Friday with lots of local residents taking a break from shopping to buy a fresh tree for Christmas.
“Well we try to keep it around 1,000. If we sell too many then we don’t have enough for the following year. So sometimes we have to close up early before Christmas because we reached our limit,” said Co-Owner of U Cut Farm, Larry Ryerson.
The U Cut Christmas Tree Farm has been around since 1979 and has several varieties and sizes of trees, most costing $25. The trees are planted every February and Ryerson says a good size Douglas Fir takes about 8 years to grow.
