A cold front will pass through our region today bringing isolated to scattered showers, mainly at the coast, Umpqau Basin and the Cascades with only a slight chance for showers on the east side and I think Sisikiyou county will stay dry today. What we will feel is the winds picking up ahead of the front, especially on the east side where a Wind Advisory is in place from 11am to 8pm for gusts up to 45 to 55 mph, this may lead to travel troubles especially for high profile vehicles. We’ll all feel the cooler temperatures as well; highs will be about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than yesterday! The cooler temperatures will be with us all week and even cooler with another cold front Thursday.
Thursday and Friday will be our next good chance to see some much needed wetting rain across the region. Temperatures will briefly drop again to just BELOW normal, something we haven’t seen in about a month! We quickly warm back to seasonable temperatures over the weekend with mid-70s in west side valleys and mid-60s for the east side.
