Central Point Man Jailed After Chase

MEDFORD, Ore. — A Central Point man is behind bars after leading police on a midnight chase.

An OSP trooper attempted to stop a 1994 Honda Accord on Highway 99 at Highway 62 after it eluded Central Point police. The driver was later identified as 24-year-old Cody Rea Ledezma.

Ledezma continued to attempt to elude OSP into Medford until the car was disabled after Medford police deployed spike strips in the area of E. McAndrews Road and Royal Avenue. Ledezma then fled on foot, but was arrested after a brief chase with police.

Ledezma was found in possession of over 4 ounces of marijuana, and small amounts of methamphetamine and oxycodone. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on multiple charges.
