Cave Junction, Ore.– It was just about a year ago that a possible arson fire left the Cave Junction Post Office in ashes.
Investigators still have not identified a suspect in that fire, but work is moving forward to replace the burned building. Investigators believe the fire started in a vehicle parked under a covered structure and then spread through the attic and roof.
Fire Officials hope new sprinkler systems will prevent another disastrous fire. They say if there were systems in the old post office, they may not be rebuilding it today.
