NEAR CAVE JUNCTION, Ore. — Oregon State Police (OSP) arrested a woman Friday after she allegedly shot at two people in a truck on her property. Neither person was hurt but her shot did hit a dog in the truck’s pickup bed. The dog is now deceased.
It all happened November 9, 2012 just before 5 p.m. on Dick George Road in the Cave Junction area. David Barrett, 28, and Marisa Zabala, 26, were retrieving a hand tool from the woman’s home and on the way back to the truck, she shot at them, narrowly missing both people.
The shooter, Robin Lavon Smith, 44, was lodged in the Josephine County Jail on multiple charges including Attempted Assault in the First Degree and Animal Abuse.
