JACKSONVILLE, Ore. – The Committed Alliance To Strays, or CATS, shelter will be closed while repairs are made to their building.
Officials with the organization say they operate on a shoe string budget and many maintenance issues have piled up on their 190-year-old building and need to be fixed. The cats will continue to be cared for volunteers during the closure.
Some cats will be available for adoption at a fundraiser on Oregon Street in Jacksonville that will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until the building reopens.
