MEDFORD, Ore. – Crater Lake Ford is showing its support for veterans with a brand new showroom piece.
The Wounded Warriors High Five Tour brought its star-spangled mustang to the dealership Saturday morning. The tour travels 66 cities in 48 states.
In each city, attendees are invited to make a donation to support wounded warriors and leave their signature on the car.
“It’s pretty cool to put your name on that, and hopefully it will stand the time, and that wrap will never come off,” said John Silverman, an attendee and donor at the event. “You know, it’ll sit in someone’s collection for years to come.”
Crater Lake Ford is matching the donations from Saturday’s event. The car will also be sold in an auction to raise money.
The last one auctioned for $500,000, was given back to wounded warriors, and then sold again for $458,000, raising nearly a million dollars in total.
