Cancer Concerns In Salem

SALEM, Ore. – The health concerns of some Oregon residents are being answered by the federal government.

The Environmental Protection Agency says it will look for a possible connection among several cancer cases in west Salem. The federal agency will look into concerns that environmental factors may be contributing to several cases of a rare bone cancer in young people in the area.

Oregon’s state epidemiologist says the number of cases is not statistically unusual, given the spread of people.
