The Rogue Gallery honors longtime Rogue Valley artist Elaine A. Witteveen in an exhibit of her paintings in acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media. Drawing inspiration from cityscapes from her many travels and the view of the Rogue Valley from Jacksonville, Elaine celebrated the joyous beauty and mystery of life in rich, textural abstract paintings.

Fill a bag with used books for just $5 or purchase book individually and you’ll be helping FOTAS help the animals housed at the Jackson County Animal Care and Control office find fur-ever homes. This event takes place the last Saturday and Sunday of every month (except December). You’ll find hundreds of books in numerous genres. On Sunday, February 1, 2015, the members of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the American Guild of Organists present Richard Elliott in concert at First Presbyterian Church, Medford. Richard is one of the organists at the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah. The concert is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (doors opening at 1:00 p.m.) so that you will be able to enjoy both the concert and the Super Bowl Game. No tickets needed for the concert, but a donation basket will be available to help defray costs.
On Sunday, February 1 at 1:30 PM, the Southern Oregon Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present Dr. Richard Elliott in recital at First Presbyterian Church, 8th and Holly, in Medford. Dr. Elliott is principal organist of the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. He accompanies the Mormon Tabernacle Choir frequently and has performed throughout the world. He has performed on numerous recordings. His recital here will include works by Bach, Dupré, Elgar, Handel, Mushel, and a selection of pieces by current and former Tabernacle organists.
