Smartphones have become a “must-have” device for many people, but not everyone is aware of everything they are capable of doing. Devices such as the 4G LTE iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S 5 can help simplify and enhance our lives, and U.S. Cellular wants to show Medford residents the tips and tricks of using these devices to the fullest.

Bookarama & European Street Fair 2014 @ Downtown Grants Pass on H Street

The Josephine County Library in collaboration with Southern Oregon Aspire will be hosting Readapalooza/Bookarama & European Street Fair 2014.  H Street between 6th and 7th Streets will be closed for the day to host the event which includes an inventory clearance BOOK SALE at The Book Lore, local artisans selling their art, along with food, drinks and entertainment. Hours will be from 9-4 and free to public.

COOKING WITH KIDS – HEALTHY HALLOWEEN @ OHMS-Community Health Education Center

Snacks can be healthy as well as tasty and fun!  Help children learn how to prepare healthy, fun Halloween snacks. Children must be 5 years of age and accompanied by an adult for this class.  FREE COOKING CLASS!  Class includes recipes as well as samples of each item prepared.  Classes are FREE, however, we ask you bring a donation of non-perishable food for the community food bank.  Please enter our Teaching Kitchen from the door facing the Public Parking Lot on the corner of 5th and H Street.  Space is limited, reservations are required.  Please call and reserve your seat at 541-471-4208.

Pedals, Pipes, and Pizzazz @ Westminster Presbyterian Church

On Saturday, October 25, at 10 AM, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2000 Oakwood Drive, Medford, the Southern Oregon Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present “Pedals, Pipes, and Pizzazz,” a demonstration of the Rogers digital-pipe three-manual organ at the church. This is for children of all ages. The demonstration will include listening to organ music played on the instrument, watching a video about the organ, and refreshments. Attendees will have the opportunity, also, to play the instrument. This demonstration is free and all are invited. For more information, please call Margaret Evans, 541-482-3075.

Annie’s Pumpkin Patch @ St. Anne Catholic Church

St. Anne’s Catholic Church will be receiving their pumpkins for Annie’s Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, October 12th. Will be up & running for business October 13th!  Great place to bring children, take seasonal photos, with great selection of farm-fresh pumpkins! In addition to pumpkins, there will also be a hand-made quilt raffle, scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, and caramel apples for sale.

 

Pumpkin Patch hours will be October 13th – 31st

11:00 am to 7:00 pm Mondays – Saturdays, and from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sundays.
