Crater Rock Museum Featured Artist – August/September
Annie Thomas, Crater Rock Museum’s featured artist for August and September, is “…obsessed with beads and crystals of all kinds.” Her works are beautiful and innovative. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings – all are works of art! She enjoys recycling old vintage jewelry, and said her favorite new designs are those that resemble Victorian era pieces. Her unique designs, creativity, and love of beading shows in her lovely creations! Annie’s jewelry is sold in the gift shop year-round; as the featured artist for August and September, selected pieces of her work will be on display.

First Friday Concerts: Quadrophonic – Space as Metaphor
Beginning Friday, August 1, Todd Barton and Bruce Bayard, performing as the duet Control Voltage Therapy, present a series of concerts every First Friday Schneider Museum of Art. Featuring two Buchla Easel electronic music instruments, and a quadraphonic sound system, Barton and Bayard explore “Space as Metaphor.” The concerts are every First Friday, August through December beginning at 11am. Some months will have special guests to be announced. The performances are free and open to the public.

The Jefferson State Music Festival brings affordable world class music festivals, events, and concerts to southern Oregon communities. Since 2002 Jefferson State Music Festival has hosted quality, community orientated music festivals and events and now offers a outlets for hemp, cannabis, and marijuana industry advocates to provide educational resources to attendees on the potential benefits of the cannabis plant. Motorcycle ride that honors those who serve our community in public safety. All motorcyclists and passenger welcomed to this event. Riders will rally at Fire District 5 Station 1, 5811 S Pacific Hwy in Talent and follow a 2 hour scenic route that ends at Lake of the Woods with a BBQ Lunch and 50/50 Raffle. Pre-registration begins July 21st. Early registration will guarantee you a T-shirt.
