Smartphones have become a “must-have” device for many people, but not everyone is aware of everything they are capable of doing. Devices such as the 4G LTE iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S 5 can help simplify and enhance our lives, and U.S. Cellular wants to show Medford residents the tips and tricks of using these devices to the fullest.

37th Annual Rogue Valley Railroad Show @ Rogue Valley Railroad Show

This will be our 37th annual Railroad Show at the Medford Armory. Inside will be dozen or more model railroad displays from local and out of town clubs, plus historic railroad artifacts, displays from Model Railroad Manufacturers and the Southern Oregon Live Steamers,  Swap Meet, Door Prizes, Raffles and more.

 

Our purpose is to educate the Public on Railroading Safety, History, and the Joy of Railroad Hobbies. All proceeds go to operate and maintain the Medford Railroad Park free of charge to the public, now in our 33rd year of continuous operation.

Poinsettia Festival @ Ashland Greenhouses

Walk through warm greenhouses to see thousands of colorful poinsettias. Enjoy hot beverages, snacks, and festive music. There will even be a staged area to take your Christmas photo. Free raffle ticket at the door for a chance at great prizes.

First Friday Concerts: Quadrophonic – Space as Metaphor

Beginning Friday, August 1, Todd Barton and Bruce Bayard, performing as the duet Control Voltage Therapy, present a series of concerts every First Friday Schneider Museum of Art. Featuring two Buchla Easel electronic music instruments, and a quadraphonic sound system, Barton and Bayard explore “Space as Metaphor.” The concerts are every First Friday, August through December beginning at 11am. Some months will have special guests to be announced. The performances are free and open to the public.
