GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Five start-up companies will be competing for more than $200,000 from local investors at this week’s Angel Investment Conference.

Watch Technologies in Grants Pass says winning the Angel Investment could help it reach the big time and its owner says they’re ready to flip the switch. The workers at Watch Technologies found their opportunity by taking a complicated system, and just doing it better.

The Grants Pass company makes systems for electronic water management, using gates to control water flow by remote. For three years, their gears have been turning, trying to make the industry easier. Now Watch Technologies wants to turn water flow into a cash flow at this week’s Southern Oregon Angel Investment Conference.

They say that start-up investment could open the floodgates for their company. Watch Technologies will make its final pitch to investors this Thursday at the Southern Oregon Angel Investment Network Conference. The grand prize for the winning launch-stage company is a $210,000 investment.
