Bus Stabbing on Christmas Day

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Ca. — A young man and woman are in the hospital recovering after being stabbed Wednesday on a Greyhound bus in Siskiyou County.

The Sheriff’s Department says 66- year-old Charles Ripley of Washington is to blame.

Passengers on the bus say, Ripley was talking to himself and then, unprovoked, lunged across the aisle and began stabbing a 23-year-old female.

Male passengers immediately held him down, but they say Ripley was still able to stab a 22-year-old man. Ripley is in the Siskiyou County Jail.

The Sheriff’s Department is commending the passengers who detained the suspect for helping to save lives this Christmas.

What a nut! I hope that the two recover quickly.. This is why we need more mental health for people. Please don’t start banning anything that can be used to stab people!!!!!!!

Mental health care made affordable. Not sure how were going to see it anytime soon but this poor soul is in dire need.
Kudos to the men who helped by acting so quickly. We all know it could have been far worse if these guys hadn’t rallied. You are the heroes we keep hearing about and hopefully will never need for ourselves but good to know you’re out there. Thank you guys and speedy recovery to those hurt.
