Bull Riding Championships at Expo

bullridingCENTRAL POINT, Ore. — Bull riding enthusiasts gathered at the Jackson County Expo on Saturday in anticipation for the Oregon Challenge of Champion Bull Riding.

This bull riding event has been to the Expo 5 years in a row and officials say since central point has the biggest turn out, they decided to hold the finals at the expo. The champion takes home a new saddle.

“Right now we have 10 guys in our standings that have a shot at taking home the saddle, usually it’s a one or two-man race. This year, we have a 10 man race. It’s really going to come down to the last guy, that last bull, so it’s going to be really neat and exciting all night long,” said Producer Jason Mattox.

30 riders will be riding to see who can last the longest and score the highest.
