JACKSONVILLE, Ore. – Wednesday night’s Britt concert has been cancelled and Jacksonville businesses say they might feel the pain. Diana Krall’s performance has been called off tonight due to the artist is suffering from a throat infection.

Newswatch12 spoke with several disappointed fans from as far away as Salem and San Francisco who were in town just to see the show. Local businesses say they plan for Britt performances well in advance and expect to see fewer people in town on Wednesday.

On nights when a performance is scheduled, one business joked that the size of the town can double. Christian Hamilton, manager of Bella Union, says he doubles his staff on days Britt performances are scheduled. He says he will keep the staff on Wednesday night just in case people show up not realizing the show has been canceled.

This year’s Britt season is quickly coming to a close. Hamilton says this year’s Britt season has been the best for his business in years. Britt officials say they will be calling everyone who had tickets to tonight show and will give them options on what to do next.

Ticket holder’s to Wednesday night’s show can either switch them out for tickets to one of the three remaining shows, be credited for a performance next year, or get a refund.
