JACKSONVILLE, Ore. — Jacksonville’s Britt Festival has officially started after Monday night’s sold out concert.
Patrons enjoyed a concert from Oh Honey, Barcelona, and The Fray, and got a first look at some of the improvements that have been made to the venue. Some of those improvements were improved handicap accessibility, new walkways, and new bathrooms.
The headline change is the addition of the new performance garden, which is an intimate venue for smaller concerts and performances with terrace seating that only fits about 150 people.
“I just think it keeps getting better and better every year. It’s fabulous, and we encourage all our friends to come, it’s a great place to be in the summer,” said Britt Festival Member and concertgoer Yolanda Haynes.
There are more than 30 performances scheduled at Britt Fest this year, and the first show in the new performance garden will happen on Friday. For tickets and more information, visit the Britt Festival website.
