MEDFORD, Ore. — Pacific Power confirmed that 15,000 customers in both Medford and Central Point were a affected by a power outage that lasted for 5 minutes late Thursday morning.
Pacific Power explained the cause of the outage was a fault in a transmission line. They were able to remotely transfer that service to a different transmission line to go to the substations impacted. There were a couple of substations that were impacted.
Pacific Power said they are still trying to figure out what caused the fault in the transmission line. They said the power was only out from 11:41 a.m. to 11:46 a.m.
