Break-In At Jackson Co. Animal Shelter

JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. – The dogs at the Jackson County Animal Shelter had a wild night Tuesday.

The animals were up late and into the morning hours on Wednesday running loose on Highway 99. Shelter officials walked into a mess Wednesday morning. Someone broke into the place through a window and then let several dogs out of their cages and out of the holding room door.

All of the dogs were returned safely to the shelter except for one. The dog’s owner recently called the shelter about picking up the dog and now that dog is not in the shelter. No dogs were injured other than a few scrapes on their paw from trying to exit the broken window.
