ASHLAND, Ore. — An Ashland company is making international headlines after unveiling two new first-of-it’s-kind products.
Brammo has two new electric motorcycles, the Empulse and Empulse-R. The bikes have a range of about 100 miles, and can reach top speeds of 100 miles an hour while also being quick off the line.
The company developed technology for the extended battery and the first ever-manual transmission on an electric motorcycle. Brammo says the bikes are geared for the customer who already have a motorcycle, but want the latest and the greatest in innovation.
The cost for the baseline model, Empulse is about $17,000, while the more advanced Empulse-R is about 19,000. The Empulse-R will start shipping later this year.
