Boys and Girls Club Host Watch Party

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — More than 300 people watched the Civil War on big screens at the Boys and Girls Club Saturday. It was the 2nd annual event for the game.

“Turkey on Thursday, shop on Friday and football on Saturday. That’s our motto and that’s what we are going to do for the next few years,” said Melinda Matson with the Grants Pass Kiwanis Club.

There was a $10 charge to get in the door. The Kiwanis Club partnered with Dish Network to throw the party. The food sales and silent auction proceeds go toward Kids of Grants Pass, Boys and Girls Club being among them.

Organizers wanted to create a place for families where adults could watch the game and eat food and the kids could play games.
