ASHLAND, Ore. — Boy Scout Troop 112 and the Ashland Lion’s Club Christmas Tree Recycling is scheduled for Saturday, January 11th.
If you can’t wait that long to clear out the Christmas tree, there are other ways to get rid of it. Most recycling centers will turn your tree into mulch. Experts say Christmas trees also make for excellent fish refuge.
After taking off all the ornaments, you can also leave your tree in the back yard with bird food. Birds can sit on the branches. Some even use the trees as soil erosion barriers, if you live near a stream.
