Boy Scout Troop Recycles Trees

ASHLAND, Ore. — Boy Scout Troop 112, City of Ashland Parks, and Recreation officials and the Ashland Lions Club teamed up for the 27th Annual Tree-Cycling Project on Saturday afternoon.

The volunteers collected used holiday trees from homes in the community and ran them through a machine to create chips. The tree chips will be used for mulch in local parks.

The group hopes to collect and recycle 1,200 trees on Saturday.
