GRANTS PASS, Ore. — After years of fundraising and volunteer efforts, the Blue Slide Project is just one step away from completing the second and final phase. All fund raising has been completed, now volunteers are needed to help take down Parkside Elementary playground equipment so that the final improvements can be made.
The schedule has changed, and now work will only be done on weekends this summer, starting this Friday. Organizers said they need 6 to 10 volunteers who can do heavy lifting on weekends this summer.
“It would just be awesome just to kick it off and just finish it with a bang and let’s see what we can do here in Grants Pass,” said Mona Pinon with the Blue Slide Project.
Water and snacks will be provided on the work days and organizers are hoping to have the work completed by the first week in August.
