ASHLAND, Ore. — A big donation is doubling the number of interactive smart boards in an Ashland elementary school.
Smart boards allow teachers to interaction with students via the internet. The Ashland Rotary gave $14,000 to Walker Elementary, which was used to equip 6 classrooms with smart boards.
“I think this is just the beginning. I think this is so important to the community because we have to support our kids. Education is so important. These kids need us,” said Barbara Allen with the Ashland Rotary Club.
This is the final portion of a matching grant from Ashland Rotary which allows all classrooms to be equipped with the smart board technology.
