JACKSONVILLE, Ore. — More than 300 people visited the Beekman House for a holiday tour this year.
Sunday marked the final tour of the 19th century abode. The tours lost a weekend because of the winter weather in early December.
“This is a very important and unique house in that it is not a home filled with antiques, but … filled with the actual belongings that were used by the family over many years,” said volunteer Stephanie Butler.
The tour is supposed to provide a glimpse into a family’s home as if they just stepped out for the afternoon.
