Bear Camp Road to Reopen

Bear Camp RoadNEAR ROGUE RIVER, Ore. — Officials with the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest have announced that the Bear Camp and Burnt Ridge Roads are now open for public use, due to milder weather conditions and lessened fire danger.

If weather and fire conditions should change considerably, there is a possibility the closures could be reinstated.

“We understand the impacts regarding these closures have been significant to the local communities. We thank everyone for their patience during the extended closure periods,” said Deputy Forest Supervisor Tracy Tophooven.
