MEDFORD, Ore. — On December 28th 2013, at approximately 12:23 p.m., Medford Police officers responded to a report of a robbery at Wells Fargo Bank.
Police say a woman entered the bank on Saturday afternoon and handed a note to the teller demanding cash. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.
During the investigation, officers checked video from their patrol vehicles and observed a vehicle leaving the area of the robbery. Police were able to capture the suspect’s license plate using an Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR).
The ALPR led police to the suspect’s residence, where she was arrested and lodged in the Jackson County Jail. 53-year-old Karen Ilene McGuire faces charges of Robbery 2nd Degree and Theft 1st Degree. Her bail is set at $1,010,000.
