Meteorologist Milt Radford has worn many hats since he began working as a broadcaster in 1980. He has worked as an anchor, producer, assignment editor, and most recently, as a meteorologist. His background includes both radio and television broadcasting, and he spent more than 10 years working in public relations with Alaska’s Providence Hospital. Milt’s arrival in June of 2005 made NewsWatch 12 the only local station to have three meteorologists, available to cover the weather 24/7. In March of 2009 Milt was awarded the American Meteorological Society’s Broadcast Seal of Approval. You can see him Tuesday through Saturday on NewsWatch 12 5:00, 6:00 and 11:00 p.m. Milt comes to the Rogue Valley from Anchorage. He has degrees in communications and business from Brigham Young University and Alaska Pacific University. He received his meteorology certification from Mississippi State University. He and his wife Deanne live in Medford with 4 of their 6 children

A strong ridge of high pressure will continue to give us mostly sunny skies through the weekend with daytime temperatures about ten degrees above average for this time of year. We’ll see 90s through Sunday with slightly cooler weather next week.
