ASHLAND, Ore. — Ashland has received reports of an unnamed company trying to sell bottled water to local households in the city.
The company is claims due to drought conditions this year, the water supply in Ashland is not suitable to drink. The company also claims the city’s water is coming from Emigrant Lake and is not being treated properly.
The city says this is a scam and community members who are contacted are encouraged to notify the city if they are contacted.
The city says that the water is safe to drink now, as it has been in drought conditions before.
