Ashland Plaza Arsonist Sentenced

ASHLAND, Ore. — The homeless man found guilty of intentionally setting fire to the Ashland Plaza, will spend 20 years in the Oregon State Mental Hospital.

37-year-old Raymond Wilson was found “guilty except for insanity”, in a Jackson County court, and will now be put in the custody of the psychiatric security review board.

They said on the same night that Wilson caused fire damage by lighting a trash can on fire, he also threw rocks into windows of two other Ashland businesses, stealing from one and vandalized a vehicle.
