ASHLAND, Ore. — The Ashland Public Library celebrated its 100th birthday on Sunday.
Librarians put on a party for the milestone, complete with music, cake and historical presentations. The Ashland Library was started in the 1880s, but the workers didn’t have a building.
After moving around town, the Carnegie Endowment covered the costs of a new building in 1912. Friends of the Ashland Public Library sponsored the event.
