ASHLAND, Ore. — An Ashland-based company selling audio books was sold to a company in the United Kingdom.
Blackstone Audio was sold for an undisclosed price to AudioGO. The Director of Interactive Marketing says by combining the two companies, there will be over 50,000 titles for audio book lovers. The 150 employees from Blackstone Audio will still be working out of Ashland.
“Sometimes when companies merge together, there’s this feeling that it could be bad news in this case its all good news and we’re very very excited to team up with AudioGO because they have a great reputation,” said Director of Interactive Marketing Jay Tapp.
Blackstone Audio was started in 1987 by founders Craig and Michelle Black in their living room.
