MEDFORD, Ore. — Staff at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center took time out of their schedules to thank employees Thursday, after the hospital achieved some national recognition.
The hospital was named one of the top 100 large community hospitals in the country by Truven Health Analytics. Asante was also designated one of the top 15 health systems in the U.S. for the second year in a row.
As a way to say thank you to doctors, nurses and staff members, hospital leaders held a barbecue at lunchtime Thursday.
“Being able to say ‘thank you’ is something that we definitely want to be able to do,” said Scott Kelly, CEO of Asante Rogue Regional. “They’re a great team, we have a great health care team here, and it’s great to be able to thank them in this way.”
The rankings are based on patients’ length of stay, mortality rates, and complication rates.
